This theme focuses on improving the local economy and providing employment opportunities. Chippenham has a good business base and a relatively healthy economy – but it could be much better!

By developing new partnerships and improving communications between business, the local authorities and regional agencies, we want to encourage economic growth and make Chippenham an attractive proposition for expansion and investment.


So, what’s the plan?

Studies have been done on the future employment needs and potential of Chippenham, as well as identifying land that could be developed for employment use.

Working with the Local Economic Partnership we want to attract more long-term employers to the town, encourage business start-ups and entrepreneurial activity.
