Chippenham has a good range of shops compared to other towns in Wiltshire but it could be better, so this theme focuses on improving our town centre retail environment.

We want to support local retailers by attracting more shoppers to our town and achieve a variety of quality outlets that give choice to consumers of all ages and taste.


So, what’s the plan?

We’ll be working with traders, employers and shoppers to find out what they would like to see on offer and how the retail experience can be improved.

There may be opportunities to expand current provision, attract new retailers, improve appearances and encourage more people to shop locally rather than travel elsewhere.
