Keeping us moving

This theme concentrates on the traffic and transport infrastructure issues that have such an impact on our lives in Chippenham. For the town to be successful it needs to keep moving!

Our close proximity to the M4, mainline railway station and position on major transport routes north, south, east and west are tremendous assets – particularly for attracting business and tourist investment.


So, what’s the plan?

We want to get the right balance between the needs of pedestrians, road users, public transport, residents, employers and visitors now and in the future.

To do this we need to look at ways we can improve traffic flows in the town, achieve better management and co-ordination of parking facilities, and improve public transport, pedestrian and cycle routes between business areas, the railway station and the town centre.
